Fresh starts

So I'm here again, no idea if it will be a fresh start or another thing I forget to do but I have decided to write something. 

Its been 5 months since I last did and in that time I have had to stop and start so many times. I was off for 2 months with work related stress/ burnout and as I said in the last post I had to try very hard to relax and not think about work. I got there in the end and got back to the coalface. 

Although the coalface had changed and after a restructure I had been placed in a job that I didn't really want. So what did I do, well obviously apply for something else. It wasn't the managing to leave Aber job that I wanted but I did get out of the department and area I was in and moved to an area that I knew a bit about but one where I've had to learn new processes again. However, as a friend once told me- processes and doing things the right way was my bag so its an ideal job.

I've nearly been in my new job 2 months and am loving it, its completely different and also has a digging into history side which has made my geeky side happy. The team is great and there are no weird dynamics to deal with as well as no line manager responsibilities which suits me just fine.

In other news, I'm holiday bound in 28 days and looking forward to it so much. It is my first proper abroad holiday in a very long time and I can't wait. J is putting up with me slowly panicking about parking before we get on the plane but I promise I will stop at some point.

Sun is out here in Aber and although I'm the only one in the office its nice to be able to get on with work without stressing about it.
