Reading Challenges

So it seems that my reading bug is back, although I'm trying really hard not to buy more books. I've read 15 books so far this year (which doesn't look a lot but there are days when I read books and journals for my course). I mean who would want these on their reading for the year: Anyway, when not reflecting, or writing the last assessment, or gaming, I'm reading. I seem to be waking up naturally at about 6am these days so I read then, I read while slowly waking up or slowly going to sleep. Or if the book is really good, I'll sit on the sofa and read in the evening. So, just to make this a bit more interesting and to read books that I would never normally read, I've signed up for a reading challenge - and I'm looking forward to it. I've also managed to cross one off already based on the books I read last month- can you work out which one. Book Challenge I've also signed up to StoryGraph so I can easily keep an eye on the books I've read, that a

Half term plans?

It's February half time here in Wales next week. which is very early but apparently that's because Easter this year is also very early or something..  Now normally I'd book time off to spend with the kids but one is now adulting in university and the other is off for a week at her grandparents so its just me .. until Friday... I do have one day off but that's because I will be mostly sleeping. My plans next week are: Sunday - NFL Superbowl- this has become quite a traditions for me and J as he loves the NFL. I kinda get it but it takes me a while and I do have to be reminded a lot. I'll be supporting the Chiefs because I've been watching the Netflix documentary with Mahomes in and he's fab. Monday - a lazy sleepy day off Tuesday - back into work and then am off for Tapas Tuesday at a local bar with some work friends Wednesday - doing Galentines and going out to watch some comedy with different work friends Thursday - going out for cheap dinner and catch up

I read books in so many formats (kindle, audiobooks and hard copy) and get them from many sources (Spotify Audiobooks, Borrow box through my local library, books from library and books I buy both brand new  or second hand or from a library in a box at a local laundrette) that I find it hard to keep track of everything.  So, to  keep a track of my books I've decided to keep a diary so that I can add into it not only the books I read but what the meal plan is for that week, what I've done in work, time off plans, some reflection on the week etc - I guess you could call it a journal but its just a diary that has room in it. I even have a special pen that I use for it (it has a rubber on the end so its great). In January, I managed to read 4 books and listened to 2. I was half way through a 3rd audiobook but apparently it was too long and I now have to wait for Spotify to gi
