Meal plan for the week

Its Wednesday so im a bit behind on meal plan this week although I have actually done it and the week ahead too. I try and make sure that I dont have to do so many shops these days so my freezer and pantry's are full. So far we've had:  Monday: Chicken with pesto and cheese wrapped in bacon. I made extra chicken with harissa for lunches Tuesday: Sweet chilli salmon, salad and couscous for C, Baked potato with Tuna and salad for me. And then going forward for the week: Wednesday: Chicken burgers with barbecue sauce and chips Thursday: Pasta, Tomato sauce and bacon Friday: C is away for the weekend and Im cooking fish curry for J Today, I'm going to pop to the shops and get some veggies as if Im cooking for just me I tend to go more veggie so Saturday: Roast veggie pasta Sunday : unsure as yet..thinking will make dahl as then I can have left overs. Monday : Greek lemon chicken rice Tuesday:  Cajun basa and wedges Wednesday: Pasta pesto And that's me for 2 weeks. I have to...

Joining in - Hodgepodge

  I've not joined in with a blog round robin for a while (not since my days as a mummy blogger) but when you want to post and your brain goes go on then what are you going to bore people with its always a fun one to do. So here goes. 1. Big week in the US of A...do you do your own taxes? What's something you've found 'taxing' lately?  Luckily the blog doesn't generate any money so I don't' have to do any taxes but I'm also from Wales so no need to worry about them.  The only taxing thing currently in my sites is the anxiety around sorting out and finalising the holiday parking and travel insurance 2. Voices and Visibility

  I was lucky enough at the end of last month to be involved in a Voices and Visibility event held in the town library here in Aber.  This event brought together writers, artists and academics whose work engage with historical and contemporary experiences of women and was part of the celebrations for Aber being given the City of Literature  Home — Aberystwyth Ceredigion Dinas LlĂȘn City of Literature I don't fall into the list above but we had been invited to talk alongside H as part of Aberystwyth Book Club The above is a picture of me at the event and honestly apart from thinking a) did I brush my hair and b) why am I slouching , I  loved being back in a book club type setting again. However, this time it was a bit different as a) there was a live audience of over 70 people some of which i knew and b) the author was sat next to me.
