Just another day.

There was once a time when I used to go out on a NYE.  Looking back to my late teens/early 20s we would go out, dressed up and to a cold New Quay (the Welsh one). I would normally wear skimpy dress up clothes eg I once went as a rugby player in shorts.. although my brother made me have a rugby deep heat smell.  I also went out as Robin Hood in a home made crepe paper hat which may have dyed some walls green.  There are also nights out I can remember pre kids which meant nights in a pub. Now it's some wine in the house. And a struggle to hit midnight.  Normally both of the kids are in but this year, Carys is at her mates while Afon is under a blanket in the living room. Happy New year to you all... I am wearing my Winnie the Pooh pj's fluffy socks and a cardigan under the blanket while watching comedy shows on tv Ffi

Another walk

After yesterday's abysmal and unfinished walk today the sun came out so after visiting some of Js family we went to Saltram. Saltram is a national trust house but we'd been given a clue to free parking and didn't go near the overfull house or gardens but instead wandered down along to the Estuary of the Plym and then were meant to do the circular river walk but may have accidentally went the wrong way and ended up then doing the dell walk.   J had joked at the start that it wouldn't take us an hour as the signs were for elderly dearies but it may have taken us longer.

Let's go for a walk

Or actually let's not. J's brother suggested a lovely walk up to one of the tors on Dartmoor today.  Except it was very wet and windy and my strava logged 8mins.. until we got back to the car. So we drove to find a dartmoor pony instead and we drew the horse game.

Crimbo Limbo

Happy twixmas.. what day is it again I know what day it is but do you. I know its a Wednesday as I'm off to Plymouth. I should be on a later train but becuase everything flooded before Xmas and another storm is on its way I decided to take earlier travel out of here so that I get out of Wales and because if I can get to Birmingham I can get south easier.  So, here I am on the National Express which has WiFi. The weather outside doesn't look dreadful but being on a bus I can see how high the rivers are. First high river just outside of Aberystwyth.    Other high river. Near Welshpool I think. A little later  Managed to get to Birmingham which was a miracle as many trains to here were cancelled from Shrewsbury. Currently waiting for delayed earlier Plymouth Cross country train as the train I needed to go on seems to not be moving although having now looked I would have missed the connection.  Happily I will be in Plymouth at some point later.
